Timepiece for a Good Time

Well, yes, I too, have started a blog. Wasn't sure exactly how or at first, why, but then I thought what a great way to communicate with all my stampin' and scrapbookin' friends in a nice neat centralized location. I won't mention the fact that I refused to be shown up by my dear friend Chris that started her blog last week!!!! I thought a good topic for my initial post would be to maintain the theme of my blog title (A Stampin' Good Time) and share with you a clock that I just finished for my sis-in-law. I was real excited (as so many were) by the new and improved scrapbook department at the local M's. Now don't get me wrong, I am still very much pro-locally owned business and will do most of my trade with those guys BUT there is often a time when I NEED something (a scrapbook "fix," so to say) after the lovely ladies at our local stores have gone home or are closed on Sunday. Anyway, one of the things I was excited about was their supply of BE products by Creative Imaginations which include a 11 3/4 x 11 3/4 clock. I had at home in my stash some of the beautiful Anna Sophia papers by Bo Bunny and knew the red accents would be something that my sister-in-law would like. The "numbers" on the clock are a variety of things. The "insects" are stamps from Technique Tuesday's BoHo Buss which have been heat embossed with black embossing powder. The buttons are from Autumn Leaves. The Chipboard "12" is Basic Gray stamped with Canvas BG and heat embossed in black and the "six" is stamped with Technique Tuesday's Serendipity Lower-Large and punched with a Marvy Uchida scalloped punch. The flower pot and the "seed" packet were cut from Bazzill CS with a Xyron Personal Cutting System. The ribbon and black sequins are just some that I had in my collection. Hope you enjoy! Until next "time"...
